A hōanden (奉安殿), a structure purpose-built to house photos of the emperor and empress as well as the imperial rescript on education, located within Takao No. 1 Ordinary and Higher Elementary School during the Japanese colonial era. This model school was visited by Crown Prince Hirohito during his 1923 tour of Taiwan (臺灣行啟). The site is now Gushan Elementary School (鼓山國民小學).
