A tiny land god shrine at the highest point of Caoling Trail (草嶺古道), marking the border between New Taipei City and Yilan County. Also known as Squid God Temple (魷魚公廟) after a local legend in which a hunter’s trap on the trail miraculously caught a dried squid, the shrine is notable for housing one land god (土地公) flanked by two land god wives (土地婆); the original idol was stolen in 2014, replaced, and then recovered two years later.
