A Japanese colonial era public school in the Wengzi (翁子) area of Fengyuan, established as an independent school in 1928. The surviving brick classroom building dates to 1933, rebuilt after the 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung Earthquake, and stands alongside a contemporaneous Japanese wooden dormitory. Zhang Shuwang (張樹旺), a teacher who lived in the dormitory, was arrested in 1950 and later executed during the White Terror.
