The former residence of the principal of the nearby elementary school in Japanese colonial times. It was recognized for its heritage value in 2010 and later restored. Today it operates as a small visitors center formally known as Xinpu Township Ancestral Hall Cultural Information Center (新埔鎮宗祠客家文化導覧館).
