The southern terminus of the 17 kilometer-long Hsinchu Coastal Bikeway (17公里海岸線). It might have once been a sentry post or other military installation. In the early 2010s it was made up to look like an old-fashioned windmill, but as of the 2020s it has been stripped down and painted a dull gray.
