Singapore

Singapore is a densely populated island city-state off the southern tip of peninsular Malaysia. Home to nearly 6 million people across just 733 square kilometers, it is one of the most diverse nations in Southeast Asia, with significant Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian communities reflected in its distinct ethnic quarters. I made a brief visit in early 2013, spending most of my time wandering the historic streets of Chinatown and Little India.
