Briefly served by Taiwan Railways from 25 July 1989 until its 19 February 1997 closure, this short-lived halt on the south coast of Taimali Township was opened with the southern extension of the South Link Line and discontinued less than eight years later as low ridership made it unviable. The station name is a Japanese rendering of the Amis-language settlement of Houzilan (猴仔蘭), which colonial authorities reworked into the more elegant-sounding Kōran (香蘭, “fragrant orchid”). A single island platform connected by an underground passageway survives in overgrown form behind the station building, which has been boarded up since closure.
