It is not at all uncommon for cafes to have pet mascot, something that would be considered somewhat unsanitary where I am from. This particular dog was a riotous little thing, always getting into trouble. He also liked to mark his territory which led to some amusing and awkward moments with the staff. "Um, hello? Your dog just peed on my bag..."
